As a professional teacher, mentor, and facilitator working with children and adults in North and West Vancouver, BC for over 20 years, as well as a musician, singer, and song-writer, I have always been passionate about nurturing growth, creativity, and connection in others.
Now as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the ACCT and a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC)-Provisional with the CPCA, I support neurodiverse adults who struggle to build satisfying relationships.
Having recently become aware of my own AuDHD tendencies, and having spent many years working on my mental, emotional, and spiritual health with the support of some amazing counsellors and mentors, I understand how early life challenges can have a lasting impact on our sense of belonging. We can feel deeply misunderstood in our intentions while seeking the meaningful connections we crave, and can get caught in patterns of over-thinking and masking that lead to anxiety, depression, and exhaustion.
I truly believe that the best way to break out of these old patterns and create new ones is through self-awareness and self-compassion. The answer to deeper connections with others lies in a deeper connection with yourself.
